NABUCO, granted by the French
Agence Nationale de la Recherche

January 1st, 2018

NABUCO is a research project granted by the French Agence Nationale de la Recherche for four years (Janaury 1st 2018 - December 31st 2021). The acronym NABUCO stands for NumericAl BoUndaries and COupling. The main scientific objectives of the project deal with numerical boundary conditions and coupling problems for hyperbolic and dispersive equations.

The members of the ANR Project NABUCO belong to two partners:

Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse, UMR CNRS 5219
Institut Camille Jordan, UMR CNRS 5208

First meeting of the ANR NABUCO

January 31st & February 1st, 2018

The first meeting of the ANR NABUCO will be held at the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse on January 31st and February 1st 2018. A mini-course will be delivered by Jan Nordström (Linköping University, Sweden) on numerical boundary conditions for evolution equations. The program will be complemented with several talks on topics related to the project.

This meeting is open to anyone interested but registration is mandatory (send a request by email).

Two-year Post-doctoral position

October 1st, 2018

A two-year post-doctoral position is open at the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse to work within the ANR project NABUCO. The position starts on October 1st 2018 (starting date is flexible). The main objectives deal with the stability theory for numerical boundary conditions in the context of dispersive equations. Applications with a strong background on partial differential equations and/or numerical analysis are most welcome.
See the annoucement in English or in French.
The deadline for applications is February 2nd 2018.
